I set this blog up with the intention of a place to post some hobby work... to show another side of my photography.  :) a few of my water photos... no dye, just color casts from in studio set up... not doctored in Photoshop.  I did these several months ago; looking through them again is really inspiring... Hmm..

 

Silly Gilly | session outtakes with the darling daughter!

This was over a year ago, she was about to turn 5 and so we did a little photo shoot..  This little girl is a ham beyond all hams... all the other hams are jealous.  Crazy, sweet, brilliant, funny, wise little girl.

Rules:

Applicant must be parent or legal guardian of the child.

Contestant in the photo must be 18 years or younger.

Photo must be ONLY of the child (no one else may appear in the picture)

You may enter more than one child, but each must be entered seperately
ALL PHOTO ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY MIDNIGHT JUNE 16th!

*The winner must be sure they are available for a photo session to take place during the month of July.

     All entries will be placed in an album on the Gigi Photography Facebook Fan-Page.  You will need to tell your family and friends to “LIKE” your child’s photo! Every "like" is a vote. They must be a fan of the Gigi Photography Fan-Page before facebook will allow them to like the photo.  You may vote for as many different photos as you choose.

   The child in the photo with the most “likes” is the winner.  You will have until midnight on Friday, June 24th to get as many votes as possible!  

   The winner will be officially announced on Saturday, June 25th!

Just a little check-in! Upcoming contest!

    I'm about to announce a Cutie Pie Photo Contest! Very excited about that. The rules will be posted here in my blog, and I hope to get several participants invovled as I think it will be lots of fun!  The winner will receive a free photo session with Gigi Photography!   As for the completion and announcement of the new website...  it's back on track!! Just got off the phone with Yahoo. For some reason all emails to or from my domain email addresses were being blocked.  Hm.  Good news: I *think* it's on the mend now! Just in case I submitted a report to the Yahoo postmaster. Just a little unforseen obstacle.. that's all :)

I am so excited!  Re-creating my website has been a different experiecne than the first time around... This time I am really taking the time to decide what *I* want it to look like.  It's not that I didn't care before, but I was likely overwhelmed by all the options that I just made it simple and didn't explore enough to discover what I really liked. I thought "well, that looks nice..." and left it at that.  I am dying to announce it's completion... hopefully soon.  Though I ran into some issues with the server, I'm suspiscious that we are back in action now :) *fingers crossed*

  I would like to introduce you to my new little space in this vast world wide web. A little corner of my own.     
   Why all the changes to Gigi Photography?  Due to technological issues outside of my control I was forced to make a few changes.  Though it was a setback, it was small and now I am officially back!  So, thank you for your patience and for following me here, and a huge, warm welcome if you're new!    The new website design (at http://www.gigiphotography.org/) is really moving along and should be done very soon (!!!). 
I plan to keep this blog space very casual in what type of photography I share. I may post outtakes from photoshoots and certainly some of my hobby work.  No rules!
